MORLEY - Bernice Mallard, 70, died at 10:19 a.m. Sept. 12, 2004, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

Born Dec. 1, 1933, in Benton, daughter of the late Cleo Richard and Trula Mae Dowdy Traw, she was former owner and operator of Bea's Arts and Crafts in Poplar Bluff. She was a member of the Morley Church of Christ and Morley VFW Post Ladies Auxiliary.

On Jan. 13, 1951, at Piggott, Ark., she married Rolland Lee Mallard who preceded her in death on June 24, 1988.

Survivors include: one son, Michael Mallard of Morley; two daughters, Sandra Webb of Oran and Teresa Parker of Poplar Bluff; three brothers, Richard Traw of Baker, Ore., Donald Traw of Idaho and James Traw of Mountain Home, Ark.; two sisters, Delores Sue Beck of Rockford, Ill., and Janice Fields of Pecatonia, Ill.; and seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Visitation is from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston where services are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Thursday. Bill Bradley of Charleston will officiate.

Burial will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Gardens near Morley.

Pallbearers will be: Bryan Webb, Seth Parker, Danny Parker, James Burris, Shaun Gilliam and Jeff Householder.
