Kenneth Petigo

ESSEX - Kenneth Petigo, 69, formerly of Sikeston and Matthews, died Nov. 9, 2004, at Missouri Southern Healthcare in Dexter.

Born March 13, 1935, in Fulton, Miss., son of the late Andrew Jackson and Sallie Mae Roberts Petigo, he had also lived in Mississippi, Wisconsin and Illinois and moved to Essex in 1988. He was a member of the Essex Apostolic Church.

His wife, Lois Petigo, survives of the home.

Other survivors include: three sons, Chester Rogers of Punta Gorda, Fla., Wayne Rogers of West Chicago, Ill., and Kenneth Petigo Jr. of Doniphan; three daughters, Vicki Teteak of Punta Gorda, Debbie McDowell of Wappapello and Patricia Cumpton of Fordland; five brothers, Andrew Petigo of Tupelo, Miss., Tom "T.J." Petigo of Piggott, Ark., Dewie Petigo of Columbus, Miss., Connie Petigo of St. Charles, Ill., and Andrew Jackson Petigo Jr. of Lombard, Ill.; three sisters, Ruby Mitchell of Savanah, Tenn., Lavanie Duncan of Pascola and Delois West of Tupelo; and 18 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by three brothers, Ruble Petigo, Hoover Petigo and Derrell Petigo; and two sisters, Lucille Davis and Lura Petigo.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter.

Visitation will continue from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Shinn Funeral Home in Russellville, Ark., where services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday.

Burial will follow in the Oakland Cemetery at Russellville.
