House fire reported

ADVANCE - A family lost their home late Thursday night as the result of a house fire.

According to the Advance Police Department, the fire started between 11 and 11:30 p.m. in the two-story structure on Highway O. Several area fire departments responded to the scene 1 1/2 to 2 miles outside the city limits. In addition to the Advance Department, help came from Delta, Marble Hill, Bloomfield and Zalma. Only one person was home at the time of the blaze and no one was injured. The names of the property owners were unavailable at press time. Investigation into the cause of the fire is under way.
