SIKESTON - Zelma Louise Penrose Woods, 86, died Nov. 12, 2004, at the Greenview Hospital in Bowling Green, Ky.

Born Aug. 8, 1918, in Bell City, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Maggie Penrose.

On Feb. 19, 1941, she married Floyd Woods who preceded her in death on March 17, 1987.

Survivors include: three sons, Woody Woods of Sikeston, Wayne Woods of Middleton, Pa., and Rick Woods of Russellville, Ky.; one daughter, Peggy Woods of San Francisco, Calif.; one sister, Zella Coeruer of St. Louis; and nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Three brothers, William Penrose, Ralph Penrose and Alvae Penrose, also preceded her in death.

Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Ponder Funeral Home in Sikeston.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Miner Baptist Church. The Rev. Jim Matthews, pastor of the Cowboy Church of Fruitland, and the Rev. Mitchell Jackson, pastor of Miner Baptist Church, will officiate.

Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery in Sikeston.

Pallbearers will be: Mark Seiler, Woody Woods, Daniel Woods, Scott Melton, Jim Elliott and Mike Payne.
