Call 471-6636

I would like to know if there is any pharmacy in Sikeston that is going to participate in the Senior Rx Program. I have been unable to find out if any are or not.

We called a few pharmacies in Sikeston and learned that the following are participating in the program and all are still accepting cards: Medical Arts Pharmacy, The Medicine Shoppe, Randy's Rx and Medicap Pharmacy.

If you have driven over Sikeston and Miner, it is disgraceful how people have let the trees and trunks grow all the way down the trunks to the ground. Don't they understand that is why we have so many mosquitoes and black birds and other nasty birds? Also, cluttered yards, harboring rats and other rodents. Don't we have a city ordinance to clean up these towns.

I would like to SpeakOut about the I-66 project that everybody is talking about. I agree with District 10 highway people in Sikeston. We really do not need that four-lane bridge. It might help Sikeston and Charleston, but if they build it, I do not think like Betty Hearnes or Charleston thinks that paying for it with a toll would pay for it. But it would take forever to pay for it. But then it would take a long time to pay for it the other way too. What you people need to do is Charleston, Sikeston, Cape Girardeau and people from Southern Illinois need to have a big, big meeting and talk about this thing at the Sikeston Field House or the District 10 office or at the Show Me Center in Cape Girardeau and listen to the people who pay the taxes that will pay for this bridge. Let them have their say. I've not heard anything about them in this. They need to be invited to these meetings. You need to have two big meetings, one in Cape and one in Sikeston. It wouldn't hurt to have a third meeting in Paducah, Ky.

I'm calling about people who eat lunch at Helmes Quick Sack. Somebody needs to teach them how to park because evidently they don't know how to park. They take up three spots, they take spaces across the yellow line. Maybe they need some woman to teach them how to park their trucks.

This is to the person who called about the gossip in Vanduser and who lives there. If you weren't where you weren't supposed to be, nobody would have anything to gossip about or tell about.
