SIKESTON - Brenda Carolyn Lamb, 56, died at 10:34 p.m. Aug. 10, 2004, at the Miner Nursing Center.

Born March 8, 1948, in Corinth, Miss., daughter of Mabel White Flippo Arnold of Sikeston and the late Thomas Flippo, she had been employed by the Grove Co., Tri-Con and First Midwest Bank. She was a secretary for the Sikeston Middle School and member of Miner Baptist Church.

On Dec. 26, 1971, in Sikeston, she married Leon P. Lamb Sr.

Other survivors include: one son, Leon P. Lamb Jr. of Sikeston; one daughter and son-in-law, Mindy and Ron McCormick of Scott City; one sister, Faye Gaines of Sikeston; four grandchildren, Adam and wife Amy McCormick and Brandon McCormick of Sikeston, Hannah McCormick of Marble Hill and Bailey McCormick of Kelso; and one great-grandson, Zachary McCormick of Sikeston.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Thomas E. Flippo and Clifford Ray Flippo; and one sister, Mary K. Regelin.

Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Blanchard Funeral Chapel, where services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday. The Rev. Mitchell Jackson, pastor of Miner Baptist Church, will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Essex Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be: Adam McCormick, Brandon McCormick, Ray Flippo, David Gaines, Randy Gaines and Charlie Medlock.
