Robert Triplett

CHARLESTON - Robert Anthony Triplett Sr., 42, died April 20, 2004, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.

Born May 8, 1961, in Wyatt, son of Sadie Scott Triplett of Charleston and the late Willie Triplett Sr., he graduated from Charleston Public Schools. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and member of the Masonic Lodge.

Survivors include: two sons, Robert Triplett of Claxton, Ga., and Anthony Horton of Charleston; one daughter, Shakia McCain of Charleston; one brother, Willie Triplett of Charleston; six sisters, Julia Thomas and Lula Grant of Mayfield, Ky., and Linda Triplett, Bobbie Sager, Mary Hightower and Sandra Clark of Charleston; and one grandchild.

Visitation is from 10 a.m. Friday until service time at noon at St. Matthew Baptist Church in Charleston. The Rev. Willie Simpson will officiate.

Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery near Charleston.

Williams Funeral Home of Charleston is in charge of arrangements.
