CHAFFEE -- James Reischman recorded a triple-double, but it wasn't enough to beat Meadow Heights on Tuesday night.

Reischman scored 26 points, pulled down 12 rebounds and had 10 steals in an 81-73 loss.

"He definitely had a solid night for us," said Chaffee head coach David Mirly. "Our kids gave it everything they had and played their hearts out. Meadow Heights was just a little bit better than we were tonight."

Meadow Heights came out on fire, jumping out to a 29-10 lead. The Panthers held an 18-point advantage at halftime, but Chaffee was able to shave the lead down to three points with two minutes left in regulation.

The Red Devils were forced to foul and Meadow Heights hit its free throws down the stretch to hold on for the win.

Behind Reischman, Sam Burnett scored 19 points and Zac Horman added 16. For Meadow Heights, Terry Wagner led the way with 25. Brad Adams scored 16. Joey Bell and Tyler Mungle each added 10.

Chaffee (5-16) will host Marquand on Thursday.
