Speakout 2/24

Monday, February 24, 2003

This is in response to "War isn't the answer." To the person who said it looks like we're going to be in war pretty soon and that they hope the U.S. has several casualties because they don't like our president, I just want you to know I have a son in the military and I do not wish anybody's children to die, not in the United States and not even in Iraq. But we have to do what we have to do to protect our country. And if the truth be known, you would be the first individual to gripe if you, someone in your family or an individual you know would get hurt or harmed by something that Iraq does. I hope you cannot sleep at night. You must not have a conscience at all, with something like this. This SpeakOut ran in the Feb. 17 paper. I hope you lay awake at night and are not able to sleep after making a comment like that, to take it out on our boys and our women just because you dislike our president. You should be ashamed of yourself.

It's a shame to see all these people demonstrating and our American boys are over there willing to give their lives for freedom for the United States, and those people who are too ornery and won't even go over there and fight but get out there and march and demonstrate and show that they don't respect our American boys who are willing to fight and die for the United States.

To the people whose SpeakOut comments appeared in the Feb. 17 "War isn't the answer," if you don't like America, you need to move to Iraq. You and all these peace demonstrators. You need to get your act together. You don't even see the coming of the times, what's happening. If they don't put an end to this wild man, he may wind up coming over here. Then what are you going to do? If you don't want to be an American, change your name to bin Laden or something. It's time people like you just pack up and leave the country so decent people can live good in this country. Get out of the way. If you don't like it, that's just the way it is. When you take a stand against the president of the United States, you're just a communist!

I get so sick and tired of reading in SpeakOut about some undereducated idiot making the stupid remarks about our President. The economy may be down, but it started while Slick Willie was still in office. Along with corruption, lies and theft while this president was in office, I can't understand why you call this man a terrorist. He must be on welfare or some program for the deadbeats that the Democrats have literally funded for you to get your vote. He is trying to put dignity and honor back in the U.S. after old Bill corrupted it for eight years. Once again, I'm proud to be an American and I support President Bush 100 percent against this War on Terror. It's sad to think that after Sept. 11 and the other terrorist strikes in this country in the past, we still have little cowards in a Democrats' costume running their big mouths inspired by little brains and was allowed to use this in SpeakOut against the President of the United States. It's a sad day.

In response to the person who said they hope Iraq gets Bush, I really think you must be a foreigner yourself to say such a thing. You're surely not an American, to wish such a thing. America is divided and President Bush is doing the best he can, but with people divided like they are, this just gives Hussein the advantage. He's sitting over there laughing at us because we're not together. Before you know it, Americans are going to be at war. Whoever you are, you've got a deep-rooted problem somewhere and you really need to pack up and move. We'll buy you a ticket to go to Iraq. Just leave America alone!
