CHAFFEE - Earl "Kayo" Dooley, 79, died at 11:30 a.m. Feb. 24, 2003, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

Born Nov. 12, 1923, in Micola, son of the late Roy C. and Lucy Madge Holdman Dooley, he was a retired self-employed farmer and member of Chaffee VFW Post 3127. He served with the U.S. Army in the China-Burma-India Theater during World War II. He also served in the Korean War.

On Feb. 10, 1949, in Piggott, Ark., he married Marie Hitt who survives of the home.

Other survivors include: three daughters and two sons-in-law, Brenda and Dave White of Chaffee, Nancy and Larry Glueck of Blomeyer and Janie Dooley of the home; one brother, Ted Dooley of St. Marys, Ga.; four grandchildren and their spouses, David White, Grayson and Tammy Glueck and Erin Glueck of Chaffee and Mitchell and Amy White of Arbor; and eight great-grandchildren, Jordan White, Shelby White, Lara White, Austin White, Cameron White, Colton White, Grayson Glueck Jr. and Brayden Glueck.

He was preceded in death by one son, five brothers, two sisters and one grandson.

Visitation begins at 4 p.m. today at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee, where services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Wednesday. The Rev. J.D. Davis will officiate.

Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.

Pallbearers will be: Mitchell White, David White, Grayson Glueck, Erin Glueck, Pete Dooley and Ed Dooley.

Honorary pallbearers will be: Jordan Glueck and Grayson Glueck Jr.
