Grace Mae Hill

SIKESTON - Grace Mae Hill, 86, died at 7:10 a.m. Feb. 24, 2003, at the Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.

Born Jan. 1, 1917, in Mississippi County to the late John and Mable Hyde Woods, she had lived in Mississippi and Scott counties her entire life. She was employed at the Knights Department Store in Charleston until retiring in 1958 and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Charleston.

In 1935 she married Charles H. Hill, who survives of the home.

Also surviving are: two sons, Charles David Hill of Oran and Paul William Hill of Charleston; one daughter, Marilyn Leigh Hasty of Sikeston; three brothers, James Woods of Sikeston, Sherman Woods of Bufordsville and Burlin Woods of Murray, Ky.; and six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled after 1 p.m. Tuesday at the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston until time for services at 3 p.m. Tuesday. The Rev. Gerald Collier, pastor of the First Baptist Church of Charleston, will officiate.

Burial will follow in the IOOF Cemetery.
