I think the city would gain if they would have the houses torn down or make the ones who owned them last tear them down.

Hey, City Hall, county government, city government, read my vote - no new taxes. Live within your means. We have to.

I wish people would quit griping about making $7 an hour. If you have two people making $7 an hour, working 40 hours a week, they could possibly bring home less taxes on $1,600 a month. You take $400 for rent, $400 for food, $150 for utilities and $250 for a car payment, this leaves $400 a month for other incidental fees. What else do you want besides a roof over your head, food to eat, a car to drive and utilities to keep you warm? Sounds like a good deal to me.

To the people who stole the CD player out of my car during the day, even if you're not caught by man, God's eyes saw and his punishment will come.

Just wondering why there is never any coverage of NMCC or Dexter wrestling. I only see in-depth coverage of this sport in Sikeston. I read about every basketball and football team from Kennett to Perryville, but it would seem logical that the only two wrestling schools within 15 miles of Sikeston would get some coverage in the only other winter sport.

How can anyone be charged with 10 counts of running a kennel and still walk the streets? To show you how much our city cares about our children, everyone needs to ride down the street in front of the daycare that is not fenced in and see all the dogs running around. Come on, city of Sikeston. Who's in charge?

I hope the people in power in Jefferson City don't let Governor Holden push them into voting to let him do what he's trying to do with the tobacco money. It's exactly the same thing that Scott McCollum did in Wisconsin and now the state will be 20 years coming out of what he pushed him in to. They're millions and millions of dollars in debt and that money is all gone.
