Alvin Heffington

OAK RIDGE - Alvin Eugene "Pee Wee" Heffington, 61, formerly of Morley, died at 10:04 a.m. July 20, 2003, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

Born Sept. 2, 1941, in Lake Dallas, Texas, son of the late Cubie and Thelma Lois Finney Heffington, he was a farm laborer.

On March 8, 1969, in Hartford, Mich., he married Roberta Mae "Bobbi" Wilkerson who survives of the home.

Other survivors include: two daughters, Sheila Reeves of Oak Ridge and Kimberlee Heffington of the home; five brothers, Bobby Heffington of Groveland, Fla., Gene Heffington and Donnie Heffington of Dowagiac, Mich., Gary Heffington of Hartford and Tommy Heffington of Sikeston; two sisters, Lois Doverstein of Dowagiac and Kathy Rogers of Benton; and six grandchildren.

Two brothers and one sister preceded him in death.

Visitation is from 10 a.m. Wednesday until service time at 11 a.m. at the New Life Christian Center in Morley. The Rev. Don Russell will officiate.

Burial will follow in the New Morley Cemetery.

Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel of Benton is in charge of arrangements.
