Your view: Congratulations grads

Congratulations to the Sikeston High School Class of 2004. Their accomplishments are to be commended. The conduct and composure demonstrated by the Class of 2004 during the recent graduation ceremonies exemplifies the qualities that will prove a positive impact on our community.

On behalf of relatives and guests of graduates, I applaud the Sikeston High School administration for their efforts to conduct a controlled ceremony, ensuring each graduate received the dignity and respect they deserved. Graduates were allowed to focus on the moment at hand and preserve their last high school experience, without the disturbance and distractions of previous commencements.

The cooperative effort by students, relatives, guests and administration to recapture the pomp and circumstance, provides to enrich the tradition of our school system and reflects positively on our community. To all involved, "Well done."
