SIKESTON -- Roy Edward Waldman, 69, died at 9:40 a.m. Aug. 29, 2003, at his home in Sikeston.

Born Jan. 9, 1934, in Sikeston, son of the late Ellis P. and Martha Thomas Waldman, he had worked as lead man for the Sikeston Water Department for 25 years prior to his retirement and was a member of the Smith Avenue Church of God in Sikeston.

On Dec. 12, 1965, in Sikeston, he married Louise Chappell who survives of the home.

In addition to his wife, survivors include: one son and daughter-in-law, Danny and Glida Isenhower of Sikeston; one daughter and son-in-law, Paulette and Kenny Douglas of Sikeston; one sister, Mary Buchanan of Sikeston; one grandson and his wife, William and Lesley Williams of Sikeston; four great-granddaughters, Chesley Williams, Whitney Williams, Christina Parker and Brittney Parker, all of Sikeston; and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. today at the Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston. The Rev. Ira Sandefer, pastor of Smith Avenue Church of God will officiate.

Burial with full military honors performed by the Missouri Military Funeral Honor Guard will follow in the Sikeston City Cemetery

Pallbearers will be: James Adams, Jim Cowger, Eric Lambert, Jim Null, Billy Stallings and Mike Tillis.
