Eva Fuqua

DEXTER - Eva Lee Fuqua, 76, died Sept. 1, 2003, at the Beverly Health and Rehabilitation Center in Bloomfield.

Born May 5, 1927, at Dudley, daughter of the late James H. and Emma Waggoner Kilmer, she was a member of the Bridge Church of Christ. A former member of the Stoddard County Historical Society, West Antioch Extension Club and Democratic Women's Club, she had been a clerk for Ladies Toggery in Dexter.

On Feb. 28, 1947, in Dexter, she married Dale Fuqua who preceded her in death on July 25, 1997.

She is survived by one son, Gary Fuqua of Bloomfield; one sister, Maxine Hunt of Dexter; and 10 grandchildren.

Also preceding her in death were one son, Mike Fuqua; five brothers, James E. Kilmer, Nathaniel Kilmer, Elbert Cleo Kilmer, Willis Woodrow Kilmer and Joseph C. Kilmer; and two sisters, Veona Hunt and Hazel Kilmer.

Visitation is from 11:30 a.m. Wednesday until service time at 2 p.m. at Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter. Lay Minister Sue Welborn will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Dexter Cemetery.
