Harlin Kennedy

WARDELL - Harlin Edward Kennedy, 83, formerly of Advance, died March 4, 2004, at the Gideon Care Center in Gideon.

Born Feb. 8, 1921, in Oran, son of the late Arthur and Mary Lawson Kennedy, he was a baker for Bunny Bread and a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.

On Nov. 2, 1948, at Wardell, he married Mary Kincade, who survives of the home.

Other survivors include: one son, Jerry Kennedy of Scott City; one daughter, Barbara Modglin of Scott City; one stepson, Junior Kincade of Wardell; three stepdaughters, Joyce Wilson of Wardell, Shirley Keown of Farmington and Debra Newsom of Hayti; two sisters, Shirley Ladd of Zalma and Violet Bock of Advance; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Two brothers and one sister preceded him in death.

Visitation is from 9:30 a.m. Monday until service time at 1 p.m. at Morgan Funeral Home in Advance. The Rev. Ray Placher will officiate.

Burial will follow in Morgan Memorial Park at Advance.
