Veda Hall

BERNIE - Veda A. Hall, 91, died July 2, 2007, at her home.

Born July 16, 1915, in Rector, Ark., daughter of the late Verdo and Edith Waggener Rodery, she was a former welder with Kaiser Ship Yard and a resident of Bernie for the past five years.

She was first married to Wayne Griffith, who preceded her in death. In 1952, in Festus, she married John Hall, who preceded her in death on Aug. 30, 1985.

Survivors include: two sons, Jack Griffith of Wappapello and Kenneth Ray Hall of Salt Lake City; two daughters, Gretta Sue Griffith Nelson of Bernie and Sheria Hall of Malden; three sisters, Virgina Lee Jackson of Corpus Christi, Texas, Earlene Romine of the state of Illinois and Viola Cooper of the state of Florida; and 18 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Visitation is from 10 a.m. until noon Thursday at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter. Graveside services will follow at 2 p.m. at the Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Poplar Bluff.
