Calvin King rescue makes that 98 people lied, because I also called it in and it was printed. I would also like to know how they get this information on Mississippi County on the Internet. I have tried Mississippi County on the Internet and cannot get the sex offender list or anything on that order. Can someone tell me how to find it?

Public court records are found at www.osca.state.mo.us Click on Case Net and then go under listings for the court you want. Then follow prompts.

I'm calling in regards to the Mounds Park Cemetery near Lilbourn. I was out there two days ago and was disgusted at the shape it's in. Does anybody know why it hasn't been mowed? The grass was almost knee high. I live in the area so I know there are times it could have been mowed. It's disgusting to see how much you have to pay for a cemetery plot here. The cost is three times as high as the cemetery in New Madrid. It's very sad when you have relatives buried there and then when you go out to visit the gravesite you find it in such bad shape.

Call Irwin Lloyd at (573) 688-2007.

Why was nothing ever reported about the child molester in Mississippi County? Why does the prosecutor's office refuse to make a press release on that case when they make press releases on all other sorts of things? It sounds like small-town politics as usual.

If anyone has homegrown tomatoes for sale, please leave a number in SpeakOut and I will call you.

I am calling about an Aug. 31 article about the environmental company in St. Louis that is coming down hard and heavy against the company wanting to build a cement plant in Ste. Genevieve. The environmental people need to back up a little bit. If you think back 20-25 years ago, St. Louis was one of the most polluted cities in the United States, including Pittsburgh, Pa., and Gary, Ind. (two big steel cities). You need to back up and give this company from Switzerland a chance to build that plant. Lay off of them. You don't need to ride them so heavily that way. Missouri needs industry and you know we need industry. You people on the environmental group should think about all the people in Missouri who have faced hard times in the last 5-10 years and need jobs.

Someone said all Clinton did was take care of Monica Lewinsky. I don't approve of his lifestyle, but he could take care of three Monica Lewinskys and still be a better president than Bush is.

Hey, Mike. I noticed you put in your paper the comments about the Sikeston police department. Where was the article that was called in about DPS having respect for the general public, along with children? Can you not put that in there or are you afraid to? Maybe you'll get a truthful answer out of it?

I would like to SpeakOut about labor and the economy. In an article in the Aug. 31 Standard Democrat, John Swinney, head of the AFL-CIO said the economy is in bad, bad shape and he said we need to do something about the 2004 presidential election. According to John, they need to find a different man; Bush is not producing. They're letting too many jobs go overseas and there aren't enough left in the United States. John Swinney, I am retired but I am for organized labor. I have never seen a really united front here in the Bootheel like they should have. I'd like to see all the unions in the Bootheel have a mass meeting and have two or three candidates and send their message to Washington. Back up your words with action. That's what it's going to take. Get some men in Washington who can turn this thing around. Sit down with the President, Republicans and Democrats and talk this thing over about sending these jobs overseas. You holler to buy products made in the United States. Listen, friend. The people would be glad to buy here in the United States if they could find anything with a United States label on it.
