After a long day of hard work, I enjoy sitting down and sitting your paper, the front page to the last page. The May 30 edition was terribly hard to read. Print was bleeding in from the other pages. Please do something about this because I do not want to stop subscribing.

I visited Sikeston over the weekend and read in your paper where someone was complaining about the condition of the cemetery. My grandmother took me to Garden of Memories Cemetery and I was ashamed the way my grandfather's grave looked. The writer said we need to all get together at a certain day and time. Put a day and time in the paper and the office management needs to stay out of this because this is the families' responsibility.

I was passing through Bertrand the other day and noticed a little restaurant that has been there for seven or eight years. It's called Baker's and they have the best fish dinner around. You need to try it.

Why doesn't someone try to get a dental clinic in the area for people who don't have dental insurance? Right now, I have an abscessed tooth, it's 1 a.m. and I am in so much pain that I can't sleep. I work, I don't draw welfare, I don't have a medical card so I can't go to the dentist. Americans in the United States should not have to live in pain because they cannot afford medical care.

In answer to "Enough said," you left out the one main thing about our President, and that is he is a man of God and God takes care of His own. I'm sure Mr. Bush has prayed many prayers since he took office and I hope and pray he is there for the next four years.

Does anyone know how to get the humane officer to your house if you have a problem with stray animals? I have called three times and left messages in the last 10 days and he has not shown up. If anybody knows the secret, please put it in SpeakOut.

I'm calling about the water bill in Blodgett. If people who have leaks would fix their leaks, their water bill wouldn't be so high. If their water bill is as high as their house payment, they must live in a shanty.

I'm calling in response to the person's complaint about the Blodgett water bills. My understanding is that the bills were raised because there are a lot of deadbeats out here who don't want to pay their bills and those of us who pay our bill each month have to pick up the slack for you. My daughter couldn't even move into town without having to pay the deadbeat's water bill at the place she was moving to before she could get the water turned on for herself. So take care of your bills and maybe the water bill might go down.
