Bank names new VP
SIKESTON - Jonathan Maloyed has joined Sikeston's First State Bank and Trust Co. as a vice president.
"I am pleased to have someone of Jonathan's background who has an in-
depth knowledge of the grain markets and challenges farmers deal with today," said Mike Marshall, community bank president, in announcing the appointment.
In addition to ag lending, Maloyed will work with commercial loans and real estate, according to Marshall.
The new vice president said it is an honor to be a part of the First State Bank and Trust team. "Their integrity in serving the financial needs of the local community is unsurpassed among banks and I count it as a privilege to be associated with such a fine institution," Maloyed said.
A 1987 graduate of Purdue University with a Bachelor of Science degree in agriculture economics, Maloyed worked as grain merchandiser for Cargill Inc. for 14 years. He entered the banking business in 2001 as an ag lender.
Maloyed is a member of the Sikeston Kiwanis Club and the Sikeston Masonic Lodge. He and his wife, the former Gretchen Myers, are the parents of two children, John Ross, 13, and Emma Marie, 7. The family attends the First Church of the Nazarene in Sikeston.
