Roundup yields 25 arrests

SIKESTON -- Officers with the Sikeston Department of Public Safety, Missouri State Highway Patrol, SEMO Drug Task Force, Scott County Sheriff's Department and the Mississippi County Sheriff's Department were out in force Thursday morning on a warrant roundup.

DPS Director Drew Juden said "in a continued effort to keep fugitives out of Sikeston," approximately 50 warrants from Scott, New Madrid and Cape Girardeau counties were acted on in the Sikeston area. Many of the warrants were a result of the recent Scott County Grand Jury which was empaneled in September.

Officers began making arrests around 6 a.m. Thursday and continued until 11 a.m. At press time today, 25 people were arrested.

Additional charges will be levied against one person after drugs and paraphernalia were found during a search of the residence.

Charges ranged from municipal failure to appear up to the Class A felony of distribution of drugs within 2000 feet of a school.

Those arrested were: Jeff Neal Gunter, distribution of a controlled substance by a school, bond $100,000; Annette Newson, unlawful use of a weapon, $1,500 bond; Michael DaWayne Bell, driving while license suspended, $100 bond; Timothy DeWayne Gaddis, distribution of a controlled substance, $50,000 bond; Randy S. Conner, failure to comply and trespassing, $1,500 bond; Alfred Lee Franklin, failure to comply and possession of drug paraphernalia, $1,500 bond; Jalonda V. Moore, failure to comply, no vehicle title, $1,500 bond; Kena Denard Hatcher, distribution of a controlled substance, $10,000 bond; Patricia Harris, passing bad checks, $500 bond; Linda C. Pruett, fraud - insufficient funds check, $4,000 bond; Tyson Chambers, delivery of an imitation controlled substance, $10,000 bond; Tommy E. Graham, criminal arrest warrant, $2,000 bond; Dinelle Deniece Enos, passing a bad check (two counts), $2,500 bond; Juan G. Morin, FTA - driving while intoxicated, parole violation of drug precursor, no bond;

Anthony Harris, passing bad checks, $500 bond; Timothy A. Mooney, fraud, $7,500 bond; Corrine Elba Mack, stealing, $400 bond; Eugene Williams, distribution of controlled substance by a school, $100,000 bond; Lloyd Darnell Gilemore, distribution of a controlled substance by public housing, $50,000 bond; Gino Wells, dog fighting, $5,000 bond; Richard Mark Gaddy, failure to appear, $6,000 bond;

Jimmy Lee Golden Jr., failure to appear, $2,500 cash or negotiable bond only; Tamekia Shanta Sheron, criminal arrest warrant, $1,500 bond; Gerald Wayne Taylor, passing bad check, $2,500 bond; Jeffery Gunther, distribution of controlled substance by school, $100,000 and Willie Roland, driving while revoked and failure to comply, $1,500.
