LANSING, Mich. - Alfred Lee White, 43, formerly of Sikeston, Mo., died July 29, 2002, at the Bixby Hospital in Adrian.

Born Dec. 2, 1959, in Sikeston son of Pearlie Mae White of Sikeston and the late Johnny White Sr., he graduated in 1978 from Sikeston High School and served with the U.S. Navy. He was a former member of Smith Chapel Methodist Church in Sikeston.

Survivors in addition to his mother include: three sons, Antonio Parr of Chicago, Ill., and Jordon Christopher White and Alfred White Jr. of Lansing; two daughters, Jacinta White and Ulrica Ford of Lansing six sisters, Shirley Coleman, Pauline Lewis, Sandra Smith and Shelby Kay White Jones of Sikeston, Johnnie Humphrey and Pearl Shoats of Chicago and Earline Brown and Lora Brown of Denver, Colo.; and one grandson, Telavell Coleman.

Visitation is from 11 a.m. Wednesday until service time at 1 p.m. at Smith Chapel United Methodist Church. The Rev. Betty Ware, pastor of Powerhouse of God Church, will officiate, assisted by the Rev. Byron Jordan, pastor of Smith Chapel Church.

Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery in Sikeston.

Staffan-Mitchell Funeral Home of Chelsea was in charge of arrangements in Michigan.

Williams-Farr and Purnell Funeral Home of Sikeston is in charge of local arrangements.
