KELSO - Viola Witt Morrison, 89, died at 6:30 p.m. Jan. 7, 2005, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.

Born Aug. 27, 1915, in St. Louis, daughter of the late Louis and Helen Loncaric Perhat, she had been a seamstress for Famous-Barr in St. Louis. A member of the Croation Fraternal Lodge St. Jacob 167 in St. Louis, she was also a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church, Ladies Sodality and the Senior Citizens in Kelso.

On July 17, 1943, in St. Louis, she married Stephen B. Witt who preceded her in death on Dec. 6, 1980. She and Lynnwood Morrison were married Feb. 26, 1989, at Kelso, and he died Jan. 2, 1999.

Survivors include: one niece, Brenda Manuwal of Rochester, Ind.; a special friend, Ann Glueck of Kelso; and several cousins.

One brother also preceded her in death.

A funeral Mass was celebrated at 10 a.m. today at St. Augustine Catholic Church with the Rev. Oliver Clavin officiating.

Graveside services will be conducted at 2 p.m. today at the Calvary Cemetery in St. Louis.

Pallbearers will be: Dave Carmen, Richard Kirn, Bill LeGrand, Jim Reinagel, Fred Glueck and Marvin Westrich.

Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel of Scott City is in charge of arrangements.
