ANNISTON - James Howard Webb, 39, died at 5:50 p.m. June 13, 2002, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

Born April 13, 1963, in Dexter, son of Howard E. Webb of New Concord, Ohio, and Geraldine Kinder Layton of Anniston, he was a self-employed carpenter and of the Pentecostal belief.

He and Daria Dee Johnson were married in Rockford, Ill., and she preceded him in death on Oct. 25, 1997.

Survivors in addition to his parents include: his stepmother, Margaret Webb of New Concord; one daughter, Jessica Barker of Deloit, Wis.; two brothers, Dan Webb and Michael Webb of Sikeston; three sisters, Janice Webb of Sikeston, Sheila Peek of Rockford and Ronnie Lovejoy of New Concord; three stepbrothers, Clyde Layton of Chaffee and John Barrone and Jeff Barrone of New Concord; four stepsisters, Dawn Barrone of New concord, Kimberly Layton of Sikeston, Angie Downing of Godfrey, Ill., and Rhonda Layton of Hot Springs, Ark.; and one granddaughter.

He was preceded in death by his stepfather, Richard "ZZ" Layton.

Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel, where services are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Monday. Edward Kinder of Belmont, Miss., will officiate.

Burial will follow in the New Morley Cemetery at Morley.

Pallbearers will be: Dan Webb, Michael Webb, Duke Webb, Keith Dick, Clyde Layton and Tom Peek.
