Bob Ward

SIKESTON - Robert Howard "Bob" Ward, 64, died at 3:59 p.m. Sept. 27, 2001, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.

Born Nov. 1, 1936, in Lilbourn, son of the late Howard B. and Martha Lucille Campbell Ward, he was a self-employed electrician, plumbing and heating contractor and charter member of New Hope Baptist Church.

On Aug. 1, 1958, at Vanduser, he married Betty L. Alexander who survives of the home.

Other survivors include: one son, Shawn Ward of Sikeston; and one sister, Mary Jane Nunnelee of Sikeston.

He was preceded in death by an infant son, Leslie Howard Ward.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Blanchard Funeral Chapel, where services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Sunday. The Rev. Marvin Butrum of Sikeston and the Rev. Matthew Butrum, pastor, of New Hope Baptist Church will officiate.

Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery near Charleston.

Pallbearers will be: Bryan Alexander, Jason Alexander, Kristopher Alexander, Brad Alexander and Derrick Newman.

Honorary pallbearers will be: Chris Jones, Rob Jones and Jackie Hargroves Jr.
