Stella Brown

DELTA - Stella Louise Brown, 66, died at 6:20 p.m. Oct. 19, 2001, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

Born Feb. 15, 1935, at Delta, daughter of the late John Fred Curtis and Suddy Biri Jaco, she was a laundry supervisor at Cape La Croix Nursing Home in Cape Girardeau before retiring. She was a member of the Whitewater United Methodist Church.

On Oct. 20, 1951, she married Delmar Kenneth "Blue" Brown who preceded her in death on Aug. 16, 1985.

She was also preceded in death by four brothers and one granddaughter.

Survivors include: one son, Kenneth R. Brown of Marble Hill; four daughters, Shirley Foulk and Carolyn Keller of Scott City, Jane Nall of Benton and Nancy Garland of Marble Hill; two sisters, Blanch Foster of San Diego, Calif., and Hettie McClard of Delta; and 12 grandchildren.

Friends may call after 4 p.m. today at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee where services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Monday with the Rev. Steven Sanders officiating.

Burial will follow in Union Park Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be: Chris Brown, David Brown, Dean Brown, Michael Keller, Travis Keller and Shane Garland.

Honorary pallbearers will be Brent Garland and Seth Garland.
