Wilma Cook

PORTAGEVILLE - Wilma Christine Cook, 74, died Jan. 12, 2002, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

Born Dec. 25, 1927, in Marston, she was the daughter of the late Homer and Rowena Baker Nanney.

On April 3, 1943, in Portageville, she married Cecil Cook who preceded her in death on Dec. 10, 1992.

Survivors include: six sons, D.C. Cook, J.C. Cook, Claudie Cook, Mike Cook, Terry Cook and Dennis Cook of Portageville; two daughters, Cathy Jarnagin and Polly Adkins of Portageville; four sisters, Shirley Partin and Maxine Lechenette of Portageville, Peggy Bridges of Searcy, Ark., and Veronica Cotham of Brighton, Ill.; and 18 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.

Services are scheduled for 2 p.m. today at the Pentecostal Church in New Madrid with the Rev. Orvil McKinney officiating.

Burial will follow in the Portageville Cemetery.

DeLisle Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
