PASO ROBLES, Calif. - Oriole E. Jackson, 97, formerly of Sikeston, Mo., died Feb. 22, 2002, at the A Templeton Conventional Hospital.

Born May 8, 1904, in Jonesboro, Ark., she lived in Sikeston for 65 years before moving to Paso Robles one year ago. She had taught English for the Craighead County School District and was a member of Trinity Baptist Church and the Joy Club in Sikeston.

Her husband, Adial Jackson, preceded her in death in May 1957.

She was also preceded in death by one son, Travis Jackson, in October 2001.

Survivors include: two daughters and sons-in-law, Louise and Bill Standifer of Paso Robles and Carolyn and Larry Yeargain of East Wenatchee, Wash.; one daughter-in-law, Rhoda M. Jackson of Redwood City; one sister, Anne Thomas of Lawrence, Kan.; and 10 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.

Memorial services are scheduled for 2 p.m. March 2 at the Paso Robles First Baptist Church with Michael Garman, pastor, officiating.

Inurnment will be at the Philadelphia Baptist Cemetery in Jonesboro, Ark., at a later date.
