DOSWELL, Va. - Johnny Dale "John" Daniels, 52, died May 11, 2003.

Born Oct. 12, 1950, in Sikeston, Mo., son of Isabelle Daniels of Essex, Mo., and the late Leonard Daniels, he served with the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.

His wife, Charlotte R. Daniels, survives of the home.

Survivors in addition to his wife and mother include: three sons, Kevin D. Daniels, Bryan L. Daniels and Travis E. Daniels of Doswell; four brothers, Clinton Daniels of Sikeston, Verlis "Dub" Daniels of McNeil, Miss., and James Daniels and Alvie Daniels of Paragould, Ark.; seven sisters, Elwanda Maddox of Dexter, Mo., Oleta Whitley of Morehouse, Mo., Mary Roberts of Indianapolis, Ind., Janet Gallo of Fenton, Mo., Ruth Swope of Warrensberg, Mo., and Lela Rushing and Karen Ramsey of Essex; and seven grandchildren.

Services were conducted Thursday at the Reid Funeral Home in Ashland. Military Honors were provided by his nephew STGC(SW) Robert Stroud, U.S. Navy (Ret.) of King George and his niece, YN1 Rhonda Lisenby, stationed with the U.S. Navy in Knoxville Tenn.

Burial followed in Roselawn Memory Gardens at Glen Allen.

Pallbearers were: Keith Bradford, Bryan Lane, Bill Lane, Casey Denton, Ben Denton and Bill Norris.
