Genny Robert

BENTON - Genevieve "Genny" Robert, 86, died at 5:10 p.m. June 30, 2004, at Fountainbleau Lodge in Cape Girardeau.

Born April 14, 1918, in Commerce, daughter of the late Lee and Melissa Ramsey Loftin, she was a member of St. Denis Catholic Church and the Daughters of Isabella in Benton.

On Jan. 26, 1937, at New Hamburg, she married Theon Emil Robert who preceded her in death on Feb. 10, 1995.

Survivors include: two sons, Don Robert of Benton and Vernon Robert of Cape Girardeau; one daughter, Georgianna Bohannon of Benton; and 11 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren.

Three sons, one brother, one sister and two grandchildren also preceded her in death.

Visitation is from 4:30 to 8 p.m. Friday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Benton, where parish prayers at 6:30 p.m. will be followed by a Knights of Columbus service.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Denis Catholic Church with the Rev. Normand Varone officiating.

Burial will follow in the St. Denis Cemetery.
