Josephine Sommers

BLOOMFIELD - Josephine Ruth Sommers, 60, died Sept. 22, 2002, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis.

Born Dec. 17, 1941, at Jerusalem, Ark., daughter of the late Fred and Cordia Macom Sommers, she was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Dexter. She had worked as a dietary aide for the Beverly Health and Rehabilitation Center in Bloomfield.

Survivors include: two brothers, Ben Sommers of Jerusalem, Ark., and Levi Sommers of Bloomfield; and four sisters, Velma Finto of Buck Holt, Texas, Lorene Hannel of Bloomfield and Rose Wallace and Helen Greer of Kansas City, Kan.

She was preceded in death by three brothers, George Sommers, Frank Sommers and John Sommers; and one sister, Daisy Honneycutt.

A memorial service will be conducted at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Dexter with Elder Bill Greer officiating.
