Call 471-6636

I would like to comment on this water issue. I've lived in Morehouse all my life and I've never had any problem with the water. If these people would give up some of the past history and what they did in the past, they might figure out the real reason. I've never seen any more dedicated young men than the two we've got now to take care of our city. They cleared the roads from here to Sikeston when we got the snow. If they don't like the water and don't like the rates, there are four ways out, just as many as there is in.

I am calling about the SpeakOut comment about the water in Morehouse. Anytime anybody wants to see the results of our water testing, just come to city hall and you will see that all of our samples have come back good, clean and clear.

When bad weather strikes, why is Sikeston the last one to print their school closings on TV? We would like to know, like everybody else, whether there is school or not.

When you put an article in SpeakOut, do you have to give your name if you don't want to?

SpeakOut is an anonymous forum and your name is not needed. When people do voluntarily give their names, they are not printed.

I was listening to the police scanner on Dec. 4, when we got all the snow. I think the Sikeston Department of Public Safety did a wonderful job that day. Not only did they have to contend with the bad weather, but the electricity was out all over town. There was accident after accident. They spent many hours out in the cold directing traffic when all the main traffic lights were out to help prevent even more accidents. If you see one of our men in blue, take the time to say thank you and tell them what a fine job they do each day. I'm sure they would appreciate it. By the way, I don't work for them, nor am I married to any of them.
