Parris takes first in Super Pro

SIKESTON -- Eric Parris of Dexter won the Super Pro and two Sikeston drivers finished second in their respective classes at the Sikeston Drag Strip on Saturday.

Parris averaged 129.68 mph on his winning run with an elapsed time of 5.320 with a dial-in of 5.30 and a reaction time of .525.

Rob Sample of Scott City was the runner-up with an average speed of 136.03 mph with an e.t. of 5.049 on a dial-in of 5.05 and a r.t. of .567.

Kevin Deen of Campbell captured the Pro class with a run of 102.27 mph in an e.t. of 6.587 with a 6.62 dial-in and a r.t. of .591.

Dale Mosier of Sikeston finished second in the Pro class, averaging 90.87 mph in an e.t. of 7.303 with a dial-in of 7.32 and a r.t. of .440.

In the ET class, Blake Jones of Bertrand took the checkered flag, averaging 73.30 mph with an e.t. of 9.315 on a dial-in of 9.31 with a r.t. of .535.

Ricky Skelton of Sikeston was the ET class runner-up with an average speed of 96.81 with a e.t. of 6.917 on a dial-in of 6.88 and a r.t of .534.
