Novella Hinton

GREAT BEND, Kan. - Novella Lois Hinton, 86, formerly of St. Louis, Mo., died Oct. 7, 2003, at the Great Bend Health and Rehabilitation Center.

Born Nov. 27, 1916, at Ardeola, Mo., daughter of the late Edwin and Stella Hopkins Stewart, she lived in Great Bend since August 1995, where she was a member of the First Christian Church and Women's Fellowship and Joy Group.

On July 15, 1934, in Bernie, Mo., she married Elvis D. Hinton who preceded her in death on March 25, 1999.

Survivors include: one daughter, Lois Ann Johnson of Great Bend; one brother, Howard Clary of Cape Girardeau, Mo.; and one grandchild and two great-grandchildren.

Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter, Mo., where services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday. The Rev. William F. Johnson will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Dexter Cemetery.
