Willa Chasteen
BLOOMFIELD - Willa Mae Chasteen, 83, died Oct. 12, 2003, in Bloomfield.
Born Dec. 1, 1919, in Dexter, daughter of the late Fred and Canna Myers Dixon, she lived in the West Pleasant Valley community most of her life. A member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Bloomfield, she was also a member of the Dexter Hospital Auxiliary and Golden Age Quilting Clubs.
On Jan. 18, 1946, she married Russell Chasteen who preceded her in death on Feb. 14, 1987.
Survivors include: three sons, William Chasteen of Bloomfield, Gary Chasteen of Dexter and Terry Chasteen of North Olmstead, Ohio; one brother, Clyde Dixon of Dexter; and four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Johnny Dixon and Tommy Dixon; and one sister, Delma Dixon.
Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield, where services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Wednesday. The Rev. Terryl Almond will officiate.
Burial will follow in the West Pleasant Valley Cemetery near Bloomfield.
