Opal Keeton

VIENNA, Ill. - Opal F. Keeton, 93, died at 3:05 p.m. Oct. 7, 2003, at Lourdes Hospital in Paducah, Ky.

Born July 28, 1910, in Johnson County, Ill., daughter of the late William Franklin and Lydia Mary Robinson Sullivan, she was a member and former Sunday school teacher at the Simpson Baptist Church.

Her husband, Ezra E. Keeton, preceded her in death on March 14, 1968.

Survivors include: one daughter, Dorothy E. Collins of Sikeston, Mo.; two sons, Derral E. Keeton of Metropolis and Donald E. Keeton of Bullhead City, Ariz.; one brother, Paul Sullivan of Joliet; one sister, Geneva Wells of Montrose, Colo.; and four grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

She was also preceded in death by an infant son, Jimmy LaForrest Keeton; and one brother, Virgil Sullivan.

Friends may call after 5 p.m. Saturday at Bailey Funeral Home in Vienna.

Visitation will continue from 1 p.m. Sunday until service time at 2 p.m. at the Simpson Baptist Church. The Rev. David Faulkner will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Glendale Cemetery.
