Jimmy Jacobs

NEW MADRID - Jimmy Don Jacobs, 61, died Dec. 9, 2003, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.

Born June 6, 1942, at Akron, Ohio, son of the late Dewey and Lillian Faulkner Jacobs, he was a maintenance supervisor for Semo Health Network in New Madrid and a member of the Castor River Hills Hunting Club and the New Madrid County Sportsman's Club.

On Sept. 12, 1962, he married Barbara Ann Beaher who survives of the home.

Other survivors include: one daughter, Rachelle Young of New Madrid; one son, Tony Jacobs, stationed with the U.S. Navy in Jacksonville, Fla.; two sisters, Charlotte McCreary of Midway, Ohio, and Carolyn Kavanaugh of Germantown, Tenn.; and one grandchild, Adam Young of New Madrid.

Visitation begins at 5 p.m. today at Richards Funeral Home in New Madrid.

Services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Friday at the New Madrid Baptist Church with the Rev. Gary Henson officiating.

Burial will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery at New Madrid.
