Pauline Townsend

PIEDMONT -- Susie "Pauline" Townsend, 80, died Dec. 23, 2007, at Clarks Mountain Nursing Center in Piedmont.

Born Feb. 6, 1927, in Conran, she was a homemaker and member of Vulcan Assembly of God Church.

On June 16, 1941, she married Alfred "Atch" Townsend, who preceded her in death in January 1995.

Survivors include: four sons, Billy Townsend of Des Arc, Donnie Townsend of Piedmont, Dennis Townsend of Tucumcarin, N.M., and Bob Townsend of Ellsworth, Neb.; one daughter, Susan Townsend of Benton; three brothers, Hubert Curtis and Hulen Curtis of St. Clair and Earl Curtis of Oklahoma City; one sister, Brenda Bay of Sullivan; and 14 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. today at the Ruegg Funeral Home in Piedmont where services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday. The Revs. Bob Townsend and Jerry Cuneio will officiate.

Graveside services will follow at 2:30 p.m. at the Portageville Cemetery.
