NEW MADRID - Henry Wayne Morris, 64, died Oct. 6, 2007, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

Born March 2, 1943, at Marston, to the late James Paul and Teenie Lovins Morris, he had worked for the city of New Madrid as a lineman for 29 years before retiring in 1999.

He and his wife, Martha, were married on June 26, 1965, and she survives of the home.

Other survivors include: one son and daughter-in-law, Kevin Wayne and Jean Ann Morris of New Madrid; one daughter, Raeann Marie Morris of New Madrid; five sisters, Pauline Adams of Sikeston, Hazel Frazier of New Madrid, Loretta Leeker of Arnold, Norma Brewer of Redbud and Peggy Hardsty of Granite City, Ill.; and two grandchildren, Tyler Wayne and Justin Paul Morris of New Madrid.

In addition to his parents and grandparents, he was preceded in death by one brother, James Paul Morris II.

Visitation is from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday at Richards Funeral Home in New Madrid, where services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday. The Rev. Tripp Spangler will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery at New Madrid.
