DEXTER - Mildred Braswell, 70, died April 29, 2006, at Missouri Southern Healthcare.

Born Oct. 4, 1935, at Braggadocio, daughter of the late Elvin Aaron and Thelma Hamlett Sherwood, she was a homemaker and a member of the Friendship Baptist Church in Dexter.

On Feb. 5, 1955, at Hernando, Miss., she married J.D. Braswell who survives of the home.

Other survivors include: two sons, Randy Braswell and Greg Braswell of Dexter; two daughters, Janet Bingham of Bloomfield and Carol Braswell of Cordova, Tenn.; one brother, Ralph Sherwood of Tyler; two sisters, Loretta Wells of Caruthersville and Mabel Benton of Pahrump, Nev.; and seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, one sister, Maxine House, also preceded her in death.

Visitation is from 8 a.m. until time of services at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter. The Revs. Jim Hoyt and Lonnie Mittag will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery at Bloomfield.
