SIKESTON - Rickey Lee Ivie, 48, died at 6:45 p.m. Feb. 23, 2005, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.

Born Dec. 5, 1956, in Wyatt, son of Walter and Shirley Shankle Ivie of Charleston, he lived in Mississippi County most of his life before moving to Sikeston a year ago. He had been employed with Wal-Mart until retiring in May 2004. A member of the Charleston Church of Christ, he was also a member of American Legion Post 114 and Sikeston Eagles Aerie 3319 in Sikeston. He played for the Eagles' Crazy 8 Pool Team and, in 2004, was named the top-ranked Amateur Pool Player in the nation.

In 1991, he married Janet Crawford who survives of the home.

Other survivors include: one son, Tommy Henson III of Sikeston; two daughters, Alisha Ivie of San Antonio and Amanda Kitchen of Sikeston; one brother, Larry Ivie of Diehlstadt; one sister, Debbie Ivie of Charleston; his maternal grandmother, Ruby Shankle of East Prairie; and seven grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Rex Shankle; and paternal grandparents, Oscar and Ethel Ivie.

Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston, where services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday. Bill Bradley, minister of the Morley Church of Christ, and Winston Williford will officiate.

Burial will follow in the IOOF Cemetery near Charleston.

Pallbearers will be: Gary Lynch, John Woodard, Johnny Davenport, Ed Sanders, Tommy Henson, Gerald Hunter and Greg Triplett.
