PERNERMON - Cleveland Taylor, 69, died May 10, 2006, at his home.

Born July 5, 1936, in Essex, son of the late John and Ruth Taylor, he worked at the Swift Corporation for thirty years before retiring.

On March 7, 2004, he married Bernice Dennis who survives of the home. Other survivors include: five sons and three daughters-in-law, Isaiah Dennis of Parma, Anthony Dennis and Alonzo and Mary Harris of Sikeston, Vincent and Ruth Dennis of Malden, and Archie and Donnie Dennis of Lawton, Okla.; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Jannie Bell and Viola and Joe Lott of Sikeston, and Tina and Frederick Norwood of Columbia; one sister, Ella Mae Farr of Indiana; 38 grandchildren, including Lamar Dennis of the home; 14 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by one daughter, Angela Dennis; two brothers, Willie B. and Jerry Taylor; and two sisters, Willie Mae Clark and Lula Taylor.

Visitation is from 10 a.m. Tuesday until time of services at 12 noon at the Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter. The Rev. Moses Grayson will officiate.

Burial will follow in Macedonia Cemetery in Malden.
