Donald Salfrank, a ligation counselor for FEMA, shows an applicant an example of one of many types of rooms a person can build for their safety during a tornado. The Department of Homeland Security's Federal Emergency Management Agency and the state of Missouri Emergency Management Agency have opened a mobile Disaster Recovery Center in the lobby of the First United Methodist Church's Family Life Center in Sikeston. The staff seeks to assist residents who were affected by severe storms, tornadoes and flooding from March 8 -13 by offering information about various programs available. Hours for the will be 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. The center is closed today.
