DEXTER -- Lela Pauline Mann, 88, died Nov. 4, 2005, at the Cypress Point Healthcare.

Born May 14, 1917, at Benton, Ky., daughter of the late Paul and Eveco Hughes Chambers, she had been a cook at the Dudley School and cleaned houses.

On Nov. 7, 1931, at New Madrid, she married Lowell Mann who preceded her in death on Aug. 7, 1996.

Survivors include: six daughters, Alice Burns of Lonedell, Barbara Griesmer of Jacksonville, Ark., Verta Faye Bass of Arnold, Jo Temples of Dudley and Patsy Ashlock and Etheleen Montgomery of Dexter; and 29 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by three daughters, Imogene Parks, Regina Mann and Pauline McCollom.

Visitation is scheduled for 5 to 8 p.m. today at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home where services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday. The Rev. Lester Clayton will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Hagy Cemetery.
