Marylin Schwach
CHAFFEE - Marylin Joyce Schwach, 84, died at 7:30 p.m. Sept. 21, 2007, at the Missouri Veterans Home in Cape Girardeau.
Born Oct. 21, 1922, in Casselton, N.D., to the late Charles and Laura Kreugert Schoenherr, she was a retired housekeeper from the Red Carpet Hotel in St. Louis. She served as a corporal in the U.S. Marine Corps and was a member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church, the Daughters of St. Ambrose and American Legion Auxiliary Post No. 389, all of Chaffee.
On May 24, 1946, she married Nicholas H. Schwach, who preceded her in death on Oct. 27, 2001.
Two brothers and eight sisters also preceded her in death.
Survivors include: four daughters, Margaret Ann Schwach of Chaffee, Diane Sue Heisserer of Woodson Terrace, Sandra Kay LaGrand of O'Fallon and Deborah May Speedy of Foley; one brother, Roy Schoenherr of the state of New Mexico; and four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Services were conducted today at St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Chaffee. The Rev. Ralph Duffner officiated.
Burial with full military rites followed in the St. Ambrose Catholic Cemetery.
Pallbearers were: John LaGrand, Edward Heisserer, Tom Heisserer and Keith Hahn.
