SIKESTON - Jewell Perkins, 77, died Oct. 1, 2005, at her home.

Born Oct. 12, 1927, in Kewanee, daughter of the late J.B. and Pearl West Miller, she lived in Missouri all her life and was a member of Greer Chapel Missionary Baptist Church where she served in many capacities and on the Mother board.

She was married to James Jordan who preceded her in death. She later married John Perkins.

Survivors include: one son and daughter-in-law, James and Donna Jordan of Moreno Valley, Calif.; eight daughters and five sons-in-law, Johnella and Jesse Moore and Gloria and Terry Nathan of St. Louis; Jennette Perkins of Spokane, Wash., Zella and Mark Young of Atlantic City, N.J., Anita and Ronald Hollies, Wilma Blackmon, Linda Cole, and Corean and Ronald Johnson of Sikeston; and 32 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Visitation is from 11 a.m. Saturday until time for services at 1p.m. at the Cornerstone Missionary Baptist Church in Sikeston with the Rev. Roy Bonner officiating.

Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery with Williams Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
