ST. LOUIS - Dora Lee Gooden, 95, formerly of Charleston, died Sept. 23, 2006, at the Pillars of North County Health and Rehabilitation Center in Florissant.

Born Feb. 29, 1911, in Marianna, Ark., daughter of the late Frenchie and Emma Jamerson English, she lived for over 81 years in Missouri. She was a member of Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church in Charleston where she was a former Sunday school teacher and member of the usher board.

Survivors include: two sons, Raymond Gordon of Tampa, Fla., and Fred Gordon of Ashtabula, Ohio; six daughters and three sons-in-law, Luella Montjoy of Tampa, Ethel McCollough of St. Louis, Mary Francis and Willie Curtis of Bowie, Md., Verna and Roy Barr of San Diego, Augusta Gooden and Quender and Greg Johnson of Charleston; one sister, Carrie Hardon of Benten Harbor, Mich.; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-

great-grandchildren.

Visitation is from 11 a.m. until noon Saturday at the Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church. Steve Betts will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery near Charleston.

Williams Funeral Home of Charleston is in charge of arrangements.
