MATTHEWS - Mary Ross Makin, 33, died July 6, 2006, at her home.

Born Feb. 2, 1973, in Sikeston, to Alice Fowler Ross of Matthews and the late James Ross, she was a housewife and a member of the First Missionary Baptist Church in Matthews.

On Nov. 9, 2000, in Matthews, she married John Makin, who preceded her in death on May 6, 2003.

Survivors include: one son, Trenton Scott Makin of the home; one daughter, Tiffany Amber Makin of the home; one brother, Jimmy Ross of Sikeston; one sister, Kim Watson of East Prairie; her maternal grandfather, Grady Fowler of Canalou; and her fiance, Richard Morgan of Brighton, Tenn., and his children, Landon and Maddie Morgan of Brighton.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel, where services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday. The Rev. Rodney Dunlap, pastor of the First Missionary Baptist Church, will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Matthews Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be: Steve Brewer, Steven Lynn, Chris Archie, Robbie Bailey, Eric Vines and Roger Garza.
