William T. Banks

BLOOMFIELD -- William Thomas Banks, 88, died Sept. 27, 2006, at the Beverly Health and Rehab Center.

Born April 27, 1918, son of the late Henry and Millie Reagan Banks, he grew up in Bollinger County. A retired machinist, he spent most of his life in Bloomfield.

On May 16, 1940, he married Louise Harper who survives of the home.

Other survivors include: two sons, Bob Banks of Bloomfield and Bill Banks of St. Louis; one daughter, Dorothy Schonlau of St. Louis; one sister, Mildred Palmer of Bloomfield; and four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, two sisters and one grandchild.

Visitation is from 5-8 p.m. today at the Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield where services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday.

Burial will follow in the Dexter Cemetery.
